Job Summary

Join Cox Fleet as a Light/Medium Duty Automotive Technician responsible for preventative maintenance inspections, light repairs, diagnostics (electrical/hydraulic), and DOT inspections at customer locations. Travel is 100% across the region with a rotating Mon-Fri/Sat schedule, using hand tools and diagnostic equipment to service light/medium vehicles and advance mechanical skills in a flat-rate role.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Travel to and perform work at customer locations, with most work performed outside.
•Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light and medium vehicles in the field.
•Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems as needed.
•Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication of equipment.
•Document work performed, parts used, and findings on Repair Orders (RO) using company tools and/or paper.

Travel: Extensive travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 25 - 30 hourly

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or GED preferred.
•Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
•Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
•Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Automotive Technician on light/medium vehicle repair or equivalent combination of technical education/certifications/skill/experiences.
•2 years of equivalent experience in a similar capacity Technician role.
