Key Responsibilities

  • •Support preparation of high-quality, commercially astute bids and tenders for ecological services, especially in energy, transport, and water.
  • •Plan, schedule, and organize all phases of ecological project work, ensuring resources, budgets, and controls meet programme and budget requirements.
  • •Support delivery of ecological consultancy and advisory services to internal and external clients through check and review processes.
  • •Support development of technically robust and pragmatic solutions for complex ecological issues.
  • •Produce, author, or technically check ecology chapters and project deliverables for environmental statements and protected species licence applications.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrable experience planning and delivering ecological services on projects in the UK or Ireland.
  • •Well-developed understanding of relevant wildlife conservation.
  • •Membership of an appropriate professional institution and evidence of working towards Chartership (such as CIEEM or related).
  • •Excellent field skills in at least one specialist area, including protected species licences.
  • •A proactive approach to Health and Safety, with experience mentoring and supporting ecology team members.
