Job Summary

Drive and deliver heavy rental equipment to construction customers in a safe, timely manner, operating according to state and federal transportation laws. Use real-time technology to access fleet locations, work orders, and delivery details. Handle loading and unloading support, maneuver trucks and trailers, manage shipping paperwork, and perform routine vehicle service while reporting maintenance needs. Work Monday–Friday with overtime after 40 hours and possible on-call scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate a heavy vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
•Transport loads safely and on time, obeying traffic laws and all safety regulations.
•Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
•Assist with loading/unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when needed.
•Maintain shipping paperwork (invoices, bills of lading) and deliver documentation when routes are complete; facilitate routine truck service and report maintenance issues.

Key Requirements

•Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle’s weight.
•Pass background and drug testing required by federal/state DOT regulations.
•Pass a DOT physical because trucks driven are over 10k lbs.
•Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
•Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds and sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab.
