Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform basic work using prescribed procedures, including responding to customer service requests for connections and disconnections as qualified.
  • •Inform customers of needed repairs, answer basic questions, and ensure understanding and satisfaction with work completed.
  • •Install, program, and operate Wireless Meter Reading (WMR) equipment as necessary, and may read meters and record usage for billing.
  • •Complete and maintain accurate records and reports to comply with company and regulatory requirements.
  • •Assist with activities to ensure responsiveness to natural gas and other emergencies and address/report safety and encroachment issues.

Key Requirements

  • •General educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a GED.
  • •Valid driver’s license in accordance with company standards.
  • •Complete assigned classes, Operator Qualifications (OQ), and OJT for the Service Learning Path, and maintain required OQs and training.
  • •Ability to use the company’s internet/intranet for data entry, reference, and retrieval.
  • •Communicate with internal/external customers to obtain and provide basic factual information.
