Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems used in mining operations.
  • •Inspect, repair, modify, and install refrigeration and HVAC equipment and related components and controls.
  • •Conduct preventive maintenance inspections, adjust/repair refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, and perform underground refrigeration unit maintenance.
  • •Troubleshoot and repair boiler operations and perform boiler water quality testing and treatment.
  • •Complete maintenance work orders, reports, and logs while following safety and environmental procedures (including MSHA rules).

Key Requirements

  • •High school graduate or equivalent.
  • •Technical certificate from an accredited air conditioning and refrigeration training program.
  • •Type I and Type II refrigeration license to comply with Federal law 40CFR part 82, subpart F.
  • •Must complete MSHA 40-hour training or provide 5000-23 documentation of completed training.
  • •Must be able to access equipment information using electronic devices (e.g., laptop, tablet).
