Job Summary

Support affordable housing growth by assisting with the marketing, acquisition, and underwriting of loans and equity investments under the IRS Section 42 Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. You’ll analyze LIHTC debt and investment packages, compile and interpret data for reports, prepare preliminary memos for proposals, and help manage confidential documents, research from databases, and the transition of acquired investments within the business.

•Communicate with customers and internal partners to gather information and help structure debt and equity proposals.
•Analyze and summarize components of LIHTC debt and investment packages and compile data for reports.
•Prepare preliminary memos supporting proposed loans/investments, identifying strengths, weaknesses, risks, and mitigants.
•Maintain an investment pipeline, conduct research using internal/external databases, and assist with project work and transitions.

Key Requirements

•Typically a Bachelor’s degree with five or more years of related experience, or an MBA/JD with one or more years of directly related experience.

•Strong analytical skills to analyze and summarize LIHTC debt and investment packages and make recommendations.
•Proficiency in reading, writing, verbal presentation, and mathematical skills.
•Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
