Job Summary

Perform proactive industrial maintenance to keep production running and support timely shipment of Sonoco products. Work under the Maintenance Lead to install and maintain auxiliary equipment, repair utility and facility equipment, and assist or train other maintenance personnel on repairs, PMs, and rebuilds. Collaborate across teams for problem resolution, maintain a safe and organized work area, and manage small equipment upgrade projects while following quality and safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform proactive maintenance tasks to support high-quality, efficient, timely shipment of Sonoco products.
•Install and maintain auxiliary equipment as required by production.
•Maintain and repair utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the Maintenance Lead.
•Assist and train other maintenance personnel with repairs, PMs, and rebuilds.
•Collaborate with other departments for proactive problem resolutions, maintain a safe/organized area, and manage small equipment upgrade projects.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 34.91 - 40.92 hourly

Key Requirements

•Experience in an industrial environment or military experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
•Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial/motor controls.
•Comfort working with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
•Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks on an off-shift position requiring overtime, including weekends.
