Job Summary

Partner with the Design Manager as a Technical Product Owner, driving the technical maturity of the project from early development through milestones. Own product-level functional requirements and non-functional attributes including safety, regulatory compliance, reliability, and performance. Lead complex cross-functional trade-off discussions, mentor technical leaders, chair technical reviews, and report technical readiness and closure of risks to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the Technical Product Owner and primary point of contact between engineering and category teams for product-level technical discussions.
•Own product-level functional requirements and non-functional attributes/constraints including safety, regulatory compliance, and reliability.
•Work with the project DM/PM to set appropriate technical deliverables per milestone and ensure realistic delivery timelines.
•Lead complex product-level trade-off discussions across multiple functional teams, including resolving conflicting information and guiding engineering solutions.
•Chair project technical reviews after each design iteration and report technical readiness, completeness of requirements/specifications, and closure of technical risks/issues to directors.

Key Requirements

•First degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, or electronics engineering (depending on product/category).
•At least 6 years of experience in a product development environment from early stage through the start of mass production.
•Deep subject-matter expertise in core engineering disciplines, with broader understanding to collaborate cross-functionally on project work-packages.
•Strong knowledge and experience with best practices in technical specifications, risk, and issue management.
•Experience leading engineering trade-off analysis and associated reviews/discussions with cross-functional stakeholders.
