Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with Product, Design, and PMM leads to set technical direction and roadmap priorities.
  • •Oversee execution on major payments infrastructure initiatives (e.g., legacy billing deprecation, payments reliability, local payment methods expansion) alongside day-to-day delivery.
  • •Champion operational excellence by improving payments infrastructure reliability and efficiency and holding guardrail metrics such as Brand Trust and Total Payment Volume.
  • •Manage and grow the engineering team, owning hiring, performance, and career development.
  • •Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders (Finance, Risk, Support, GTM) to ensure cohesive payments experiences across product surfaces and cross-functional planning.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years managing an engineering team.
  • •Direct experience with payments, billing, or financial infrastructure at scale, including understanding PCI compliance, payment processing/orchestration, chargebacks, and reconciliation (or adjacent regulated-fintech domains).
  • •Experience owning both reliability/operations work and new product bets within the same portfolio.
  • •Comfort with vendor relationships and build-vs-buy decisions for critical payments infrastructure.
  • •A proven track record shipping high-impact, end-to-end product work in complex domains, ideally payments/fintech or other mission-critical systems.
