Job Summary

Join the Transmission & Distribution team to design overhead transmission lines up to 400kV, applying PLS-CADD modelling and rigorous structural analysis. You’ll work with clients on technically challenging OHL projects, contribute to feasibility studies, ensure safety and environmental standards, and deliver engineering deliverables such as complex designs, reports, proposals, and drawing packages in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead design activities related to overhead lines, including modelling, line routing, structural analysis, loading trees, sag-tension calculations, and component selection.
•Support feasibility studies and conductor thermal ratings, identifying technically preferred solutions for client presentation.
•Ensure projects meet safety, environmental, sustainability, and quality standards and comply with design management processes.
•Produce engineering deliverables such as complex designs, reports, proposals, presentations, and drawing packages.
•Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver technically challenging OHL design projects.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline (electrical or power engineering)
•Experience in electrical design projects for transmission system operators (e.g., National Grid, SSE, SPT)

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to adhere to safety, health, environmental, sustainability, and quality standards
