Job Summary

Build large-scale recommendation algorithms for TikTok Shop, powering commodity, live-stream, and short-video recommendations. Develop long- and short-term user interest models from massive data, and design predictive systems for candidate generation and ranking such as CTR and conversion rate. Own the end-to-end modeling loop—real-time data pipelines, feature engineering, model optimization—and create supporting tools for debugging and iteration.

Key Responsibilities

•Participate in building large-scale e-commerce recommendation algorithms and systems for commodity, live stream, and short video recommendations.
•Build long- and short-term user interest models and extract relevant signals from large-scale data to explore latent interests.
•Design, develop, evaluate, and iterate on predictive models for candidate generation and ranking such as CTR and conversion rate prediction.
•Build real-time data pipelines, perform feature engineering, and optimize and innovate models.
•Design and build supporting/debugging tools as needed.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or a related field, with strong programming and problem-solving ability.
•At least 3 years of experience in recommendation algorithms, online advertising, information retrieval, NLP, computer vision, machine learning, or large-scale data mining.
•Familiarity with recommendation algorithms such as Collaborative Filtering, Matrix Factorization, Factorization Machines, Word2vec, Logistic Regression, Gradient Boosting Trees, Deep Neural Networks, and Wide & Deep.
•Experience with deep learning tools such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
•Experience with at least one programming language such as C++ or Python.
