Job Summary

Provide non-medical, solution-focused counseling to adult and child/youth dependents of military service members during short-term, surge, and on-demand assignments. Support counseling services at installations, including school and youth program coverage (May 15–September 15 for summer assignments), parent guidance, and health and wellness presentations. Work with installation and branch points of contact while entering counselor activity data daily through a smartphone or web application and maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide non-medical, short-term solution-focused counseling to adults, children, and youth, including assessment, brief counseling/consultation, action planning, referrals, and follow-up.
•For CYB roles, support CDC/DoDEA/community school staff, youth programs and summer camps, and provide parent training and guidance.
•Deliver training and health/wellness presentations and participate in health fairs and other base/installation activities.
•Enter counselor activity data daily through a smartphone or web application while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity.
•Partner with installation and military points of contact to ensure adult/CYB services meet installation needs and respond to critical incidents and special requests as directed.

Key Requirements

•Master’s Degree in a mental health related field or social work from an accredited graduate program.
•Current licensure required and independently licensed behavioral health clinician (including LPC where applicable).
•Advanced knowledge of brief therapy and solution-focused counseling methods.
•Ability to prove US citizenship and must be fluent in English.
•Ability to accept short-notice assignments (including weekends) and respond in physical locations on military installations and/or school settings as needed.
