Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform specialized nephrology professional duties according to delineation of privileges approved by the Credentials Committee.
  • •Provide after-hours on-call emergency coverage for nephrology emergencies and the hemodialysis unit.
  • •Provide supervision and education to dialysis staff (nurses and technicians).
  • •Participate in educational activities and quality assurance activities (e.g., mortality and morbidity conference, peer review, audit, chart review).
  • •Follow appropriate international guidelines, DHA regulations, and Joint Commission International norms while treating/managing patients and discharging professional duties.

Key Requirements

  • •Graduation from an approved medical school plus one year of internship and three years of residency; certification by the American Board of Neurology or Member of the Royal College of Neurology (or equivalent).
  • •At least five (5) years of practice as a nephrologist with two (2) or more years as a licensed specialist.
  • •Excellent command of oral and written English; knowledge of Arabic is desirable but not essential.
  • •Must have mature clinical judgment and ability to provide professional leadership, with thorough knowledge of Medical Department policies and procedures, including confidentiality obligations.
  • •Current licensure in country of origin and with DHA license to practice as a Specialist in Nephrology in Dubai, UAE.
