Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and drive end-to-end technical architecture for applied AI on the Point of Sale platform, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • •Contribute to AI strategy and roadmap delivery for an applied AI portfolio, including building decision and tool layers for agent actions on merchant data.
  • •Build retrieval layer (RAG) grounded in live merchant data, define behavioral contracts, and develop evals that gate releases.
  • •Engineer multimodal ingestion pipelines (photos, PDFs, spreadsheets) into canonical data and establish patterns, guardrails, and components for adoption.
  • •Operate and monitor what you ship (tracing, live quality, latency/cost budgets, regression detection), extend multi-agent frameworks, and mentor engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in computer science, engineering, math, physics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • •10+ years in software development with 3+ years leading complex production systems.
  • •Strong engineering foundations including algorithms, data structures, Kubernetes, REST APIs, and microservices.
  • •Experience with Python and a JVM language (Java, Kotlin, Scala) and data systems including MySQL, MongoDB, and vector databases.
  • •Built production LLM systems that write to a system of record, using evaluation-driven development, monitoring, and risk/security/privacy judgment.
