Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair vehicle systems and components including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and troubleshoot defective equipment using instruments; road test vehicles to verify correct operation.
  • •Manage parts inventory/equipment on the company service truck and conduct vehicle safety checks including pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair order documentation, uploading pictures of work/parts/findings using company systems; communicate with management/support to obtain approvals and PO numbers.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3+ years of related experience (or equivalent alternative education/certification and experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Successfully complete/pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with sufficient validity).
  • •Current valid DOT medical card (or DOT physical as required), and be 21+ years old with a valid driver’s license to maintain a Driver Qualification File.
