Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and accomplish goals in the field using past experience and independent judgment
  • •Monitor deadlines, oversee project testing, and coordinate work with the Contractor
  • •Relay major problems affecting cost/scope to the Project Engineer
  • •Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to new and junior employees
  • •Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and code requirements through inspections

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma and 6+ years of relevant construction inspection experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education
  • •Valid Driver's license, with good driving record
  • •Overnight travel within the state may be required
  • •10+ years of MDOT, other state DOT, or local agency construction inspection experience preferred; or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience
