Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver safe, fun and progressive swimming lessons for babies and pre-school swimmers following Swim England learn-to-swim framework.
  • •Provide excellent customer service and engage with participants and their families across all ages and backgrounds.
  • •Operate across Serco leisure centres as part of Birmingham Community Leisure Trust, with flexible teaching hours.
  • •Participate in ongoing training and CPDs via the in-house Aquatic Training Academy to support career development.
  • •Support safeguarding requirements and DBS checks as part of employment.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold either a STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or Swim England Level 2.
  • •Hold a RLSS UK NPLQ, RLSS UK NRASTC or STA Safety Award for Teachers would be advantageous but not essential.
  • •Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • • DBS check will be required.
  • •Willingness to participate in in-house training and CPDs for ongoing development.
