Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform engineering assignments by following defined processes, procedures, and instructions, proposing solutions to engineering-related problems.
  • •Develop models and analyze data to recommend solutions and improvements in processes and programs.
  • •Collaborate with experienced engineers to recommend and implement timely solutions within time and budget constraints.
  • •Ensure compliance with nuclear quality assurance (NQA) documentation/record keeping, nuclear security safeguards, NERC-CIP, critical digital asset, and NRC requirements.
  • •Assist in resolution of emergent plant issues and provide field engineering assistance or technical support as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics, with minimum job-relevant experience (associate/staff/senior/principal levels described).
  • •Proficiency in nuclear reactor core licensing concepts, technical specifications, safety margin bases, and related federal regulations.
  • •Experience with nuclear fuel bundle and core design, reload licensing, cycle management, and core monitoring databanks (preferred).
  • •Ability to manage multiple assignments and provide technical evaluations and support (preferred).
  • •Ability to maintain a position on the Fermi Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and pass required in-processing including background investigation, screening, radiation worker/respiratory training, and medical certification.
