Job Summary

Support, certify, and document storage and backup infrastructure within the Storage Operations team under Global Systems Support. You’ll act as a Level 2 escalation point, ensuring uptime for enterprise storage services while partnering across Technology groups. Perform monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis across SAN, NAS, hosts, VMs, and recovery services. Write technical design and build documentation, and use automation, scripting, and backup/DR best practices to improve reliability.

Key Responsibilities

•Support, certify, and document storage and backup infrastructure for existing systems.
•Serve as a Level 2 escalation point for storage and backup infrastructure.
•Ensure uptime of Visa products for customers in a fast-paced operations environment.
•Monitor, tune, troubleshoot, and perform root-cause analysis across the end-to-end storage and backup stack (VMs, hosts, SAN switches, storage, recovery services).
•Write technical design and build documentation and collaborate with teams across Systems, Database, Engineering, Operations, Audit and Risk, and Technology.

Key Requirements

•2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
•Hands-on experience supporting/administrating enterprise storage and working in large, complex datacenter environments.
•Hands-on experience with storage arrays (e.g., EMC, HDS, IBM Midrange; Isilon and/or NetApp NAS).
•Backup and disaster recovery knowledge, including VTL and tools such as Symantec NetBackup and/or EMC Data Domain; replication, snapshots, and DR best practices.
•Background with automation and scripting (Ansible and/or Python; scripting proficiency in Windows and UNIX) and experience with storage configuration/volume/path tools (e.g., LVM, Native MPIO, EMC PowerPath, HDS HDLM).
