Key Responsibilities

  • •Support, certify, and document storage and backup infrastructure for existing systems.
  • •Serve as a Level 2 escalation point for storage and backup infrastructure.
  • •Ensure uptime of Visa products for customers in a fast-paced operations environment.
  • •Monitor, tune, troubleshoot, and perform root-cause analysis across the end-to-end storage and backup stack (VMs, hosts, SAN switches, storage, recovery services).
  • •Write technical design and build documentation and collaborate with teams across Systems, Database, Engineering, Operations, Audit and Risk, and Technology.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • •Hands-on experience supporting/administrating enterprise storage and working in large, complex datacenter environments.
  • •Hands-on experience with storage arrays (e.g., EMC, HDS, IBM Midrange; Isilon and/or NetApp NAS).
  • •Backup and disaster recovery knowledge, including VTL and tools such as Symantec NetBackup and/or EMC Data Domain; replication, snapshots, and DR best practices.
  • •Background with automation and scripting (Ansible and/or Python; scripting proficiency in Windows and UNIX) and experience with storage configuration/volume/path tools (e.g., LVM, Native MPIO, EMC PowerPath, HDS HDLM).
