Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain Electrical, Controls, and Communications systems and projects, including programming of RTUs, backup generator installation/programming, and ER installation/maintenance.
  • •Develop, propose, select, install, calibrate, program, commission, manage, and maintain telemetry/SCADA components such as station controls, wireless infrastructure, grounding systems, cabling, and backup power systems.
  • •Respond promptly to telemetry/odourization incidents and outages, coordinating with Gas Control, Station Operations, and SCADA staff to minimize disruptions; report causes and recommend preventative plans.
  • •Independently troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, repair, and replace electrical, telemetry, and instrumentation equipment, calibrating and troubleshooting measurement devices in the field.
  • •Participate in rotating on-call duties across Ontario (remote support and physically on-site) and support team members and collaborators throughout the province.

Key Requirements

  • •College graduate in Instrumentation/Controls and Electrical Technology, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Robotics, Instrumentation, or Boiler & Motor Operation.
  • •5+ years of related field experience in telemetry, controls, and/or electrical work.
  • •Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, including the ability to read and interpret electrical and logic drawings.
  • •Working knowledge of Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), PLCs, and Electronic Recording Devices (ERs).
  • •Ability to respond to rotating on-call duties on a 24-hour/7-day basis across Ontario and willingness to travel.
