Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain intelligent, coordinated 3D plant models using Hexagon Smart 3D (SmartPlant 3D/SP3D).
  • •Model equipment, piping, structures, electrical systems, cable trays, HVAC, and associated plant components based on project scope.
  • •Interpret P&IDs, engineering layouts, specifications, calculations, sketches, mark-ups, and vendor data; apply catalogues, specifications, rules, naming conventions, and modelling procedures.
  • •Coordinate multidisciplinary models, resolve interfaces, and perform interference/clash checks to support resolution of issues.
  • •Generate and maintain model-derived plans, sections, general arrangements, isometrics, schedules, reports, and material take-offs; maintain model accuracy, engineering data, revision control, and approved configurations.

Key Requirements

  • •National Diploma, Higher Certificate, or equivalent qualification in engineering draughting, plant design, BIM, or related discipline.
  • •Strong hands-on proficiency in Hexagon Smart 3D (SmartPlant 3D/SP3D).
  • •Approximately 5 years of relevant 3D plant modelling or engineering draughting experience in power, energy, process plant, or multidisciplinary EPC projects.
  • •Experience in Smart 3D disciplines such as equipment, piping, structural, civil, electrical, cable tray, or HVAC modelling.
  • •Ability to interpret engineering layouts and P&IDs, specifications, and vendor information; knowledge of multidisciplinary coordination and interference checking.
