Perform real-time energy trading and marketing for renewable and thermal generation, negotiating hourly wholesale sales and purchases. Coordinate generation and transmission scheduling with dispatch, reserve and purchase transmission via OASIS, and create NERC E-tags for physical transactions. Manage day-ahead and real-time opportunities, support arbitrage across U.S. markets, and record deals in energy management systems while working rotating 12-hour shifts alongside a small trading team.

Key Responsibilities

•Negotiate transactions to optimize corporate generation assets including renewable and thermal.
•Capture arbitrage opportunities using transmission to link markets and manage day-ahead and real-time trades.
•Create NERC E-tags, purchase transmission via OASIS, and record transactions accurately in the energy management system.
•Provide day-ahead to real-time pricing and schedule generation/transmission to ISO/control areas and transmission providers.
•Facilitate training for other real-time traders and maintain awareness of generation assets and market conditions.

Salary: USD 87,600 - 109,500

Key Requirements

•BA/BS (math, business, finance, economics, engineering) or equivalent education/experience.
•Solid understanding of generation and transmission operations and how to apply it to market opportunities.
•Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
•Understanding of financial modeling, risk assessment, commodity management, and electricity/natural gas trading and hedging practices.
•Strong Excel skills and familiarity with LIM or other price data warehouse; ability to create NERC tags without templates.
