Coordinate and manage site environmental programs at Dawson Mine, driving land management and rehabilitation, supervising contractors, and delivering environmental plans to meet regulatory and corporate standards. You will lead risk/permits activities, collaborate with operations and stakeholders, and mentor the environment team while promoting sustainable practices across the site.

Key Responsibilities

•Management of environmental contractors spanning rehabilitation, waste management, weed and pest, etc.
•Execution of progressive rehabilitation to achieve targets.
•Erosion and Sediment control monitoring and implementation.
•Collaborate on innovative projects to enhance sustainability and operational efficiency.
•Land disturbance advice and permitting.
•Development and implementation of Environmental Management plans and systems such as land, vegetation, cultural heritage, water, and waste.
•Support environmental reporting and assurance activities.
•Being active and available among the general workforce to increase environmental awareness in the field.

Key Requirements

•Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, engineering or equivalent discipline.
•4+ years extensive and practical experience in managing environmental and civil engineering projects within Resources or Mining industry (preferably Coal).
•Supervisor qualifications – S1,2,3 & G2 (or capable of obtaining).
•Experience with Risk Management Processes and contractor management.
•Experience with ArcGIS (Pro) or similar mapping software.
