Job Summary

Environmental Scientist with 3+ years of field experience working on contaminated sites, within a multidisciplinary RPM team. Plan and participate in field programs, prepare health and safety plans and reports, mentor junior staff, and support project coordinators and engineers on Phase I/II ESAs, risk assessment, and remediation across multiple Canadian locations.

Key Responsibilities

•Participate in a team environment, work closely with Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Senior Project Directors/Technical Leads and Field Technicians/Scientists/Engineers.
•Work collaboratively with your team to prepare Health and Safety plans and Emergency response plans for the field programs.
•Train junior staff in environmental practices including Phase I and II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, oversight of remediation etc. and on-site health and safety.
•Prepare, compile data for, and write reports including conclusions and recommendations.
•Work with and provide support to other RPM Team members in health and safety, project management, project completion and client service responsibilities.

Key Requirements

•University degree or diploma in engineering, or natural/earth sciences.
•Minimum 3 years of field experience in contaminated site assessments.
•Experience working in remote location and/or camp setting, experience working in the territories is considered a strong asset.
•Sound understanding of the need for health and safety procedures in the workplace.
•Professional designation or a professional in training, is preferred.
