Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate heavy mobile equipment (e.g., front-end loaders) to blend and stack wood fuel for boiler operation and storage.
  • •Operate fuel conveyors, receiving hoppers, and the scale house to unload trucks.
  • •Operate and monitor the fuel reclaimer during pile swaps and during normal operation.
  • •Service fuel yard equipment daily before shift change, complete shift logs, and inspect conveyor systems daily.
  • •Perform daily quality control (e.g., take pile temperatures), comply with safety procedures, address hazards, and respond to abnormal or emergency situations safely.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • •Experience with mobile heavy equipment such as loaders and trucks, and preferably welding, maintenance, and shift work.
  • •Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • •Knowledge of plant safety, including chemical handling, high-energy systems, confined spaces, incipient fire suppression, first aid, rotating machinery, and heavy equipment.
  • •Ability to use computers and related technology efficiently and to establish effective working relationships.
