Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead electrical engineering design work on assigned renewable and BESS projects under senior staff guidance.
  • •Collaborate with Project Engineer and Project Manager to develop electrical engineering schedules and budgets.
  • •Perform solar PV and BESS design tasks including equipment layouts, interconnections, and energy production modeling.
  • •Develop construction and equipment specifications, plus engineering calculations (e.g., NEC-based sizing, voltage drop, conduit sizing).
  • •Support full project lifecycle from feasibility through detailed design, issue-for-bid, construction, start-up, and commissioning.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or an engineering-related discipline with 4 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Demonstrated experience designing and integrating utility-scale renewable and battery storage systems.
  • •Current professional engineering license (PE) and ability to attain additional states by comity.
  • •Experience with solar PV and BESS system design, including array layouts, DC string sizing, and utility interconnections.
  • •Proficiency with industry software such as Homer, NREL SAM, ForgeSolar, and Helioscope.
