Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise clients on bid strategies by managing vendor prequalification, assessing proposals/bids, chairing bid interviews, and managing appointment processes.
  • •Lead estimating activities by developing project estimates, reviewing junior estimates, presenting value engineering and risk assessments, and benchmarking using data from other projects.
  • •Manage cost reporting by setting reporting schedules, reviewing/presenting cost reports and forecasts, maintaining a commercial risk register, and hosting periodic meetings with teams and vendors.
  • •Oversee cost control by reviewing payment application assessments, recommending contractor entitlements, assessing change order requests, and using dispute procedures for contractual matters.
  • •Manage post-contract closeout activities including final accounting, post-contract audits, invoicing, and post-contract reviews to capture lesson learned and develop handover procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
  • •3–5 years of relevant experience in a cost management role in the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards RICS.
  • •Experience supporting cost management on medium or large construction projects (commercial office, high-rise, mixed-use, HQ, or major urban development).
  • •Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering, with strong communication skills.
