Job Summary

Support the SerDes IP efforts for the Server team by applying knowledge of SerDes architecture, equalization, and characterization. Work across SerDes IP and Server product teams, running IBIS-AMI link-level simulations and using PCIe specifications to design and evaluate robust links. Apply SI/PI fundamentals and statistics/signal processing, collaborate on PCB design, and communicate findings through technical presentations and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the SerDes IP team and Server product team with SerDes link and characterization work.
•Run IBIS-AMI model link-level simulations to evaluate performance.
•Apply PCIe specifications and SI/PI basics to guide robust link design trade-offs.
•Use Matlab/C/C++/Python to analyze results, make decisions, and provide recommendations.
•Collaborate on PCB design and communicate technical outcomes via presentations and documentation.

Key Requirements

•Basic understanding of SerDes architecture, equalization principles, and characterization techniques.
•Experience running IBIS-AMI model link-level simulations.
•Understanding PCIe specifications across different generations and robust link performance trade-offs in terms of SI/PI.
•Familiarity with Matlab, C/C++, and Python for analysis and modeling.
•Experience with lab equipment for high-speed digital systems, plus a solid background in statistics and signal processing.
