Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct hatchery operations to produce the highest-quality chicks at the highest hatch rate possible for the lowest cost.
  • •Ensure Animal Welfare compliance across the hatchery, Tech Advisors, and Contract Producers.
  • •Plan production and oversee spending and capital improvement projects, including preparing the yearly budget and controlling labor, repairs, supplies, and vaccines costs.
  • •Drive reporting and quality: prepare monthly performance reports and graphs; report egg fertility and hatching residue results; complete quality assurance checks for chick quality, vaccination, equipment, and maintenance.
  • •Ensure compliance with Company, OSHA, and environmental regulations; manage employee schedules, vacation approvals, and hiring as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s degree or completion of a vocational/technical specialty certification/licensure program in a related field; bachelor’s preferred.

  • •Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • •SAP experience preferred.
  • •Able to work evenings/weekends as needed.
