Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide subject-matter expertise on evolving global privacy and security legal requirements and translate analysis into actionable guidance for legal and security teams.
  • •Support incident response across the incident lifecycle (verification, triage, containment, remediation, post-mortem), including regulator reporting and customer notifications.
  • •Own and deliver cross-functional cybersecurity legal initiatives end-to-end, including AI/agentic-AI governance and improvements to major incident response, with measurable outcomes.
  • •Embed within security pods as a trusted legal partner to security teams including Application Security, GRC, Privacy Engineering, Global Security, and Infrastructure/Platform.
  • •Advise cross-functional legal advocacy teams on privacy and security across areas such as corporate, employment, compliance, policy, regulatory, product, privacy, and commercial.

Salary: USD 168,100 - 211,760 annually

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of experience in data security, data privacy, data protection, and governance.
  • •Expertise in US and global data security and protection laws and regulations.
  • •Knowledge of security regulations, laws, and frameworks such as GDPR, NIS2, CRA, CCPA, COPPA, CA SB 553, NIST CSF, and PCI.
  • •Experience partnering with information security teams (incident response, application security, governance) and handling security incidents including breach reporting and customer notifications.
  • •Active membership in at least one US state bar (California Bar admission preferred) and excellent business-oriented judgment and communication.
