Key Responsibilities

  • •Embed with product teams to improve operational maturity by setting up and refining on-call, monitoring, alerting, and runbook practices.
  • •Run regular game day exercises to help teams investigate and remediate incidents quickly.
  • •Jump into application code and implement reliability techniques such as retries, error handling, logging improvements, and circuit breaking.
  • •Steer SLOs toward meaningful customer outcomes and advocate for reliability through design document and code reviews.
  • •Identify and close observability gaps that hinder debugging, incident response, and business intelligence.

Key Requirements

  • •Past Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps experience.
  • •Measurable examples of influencing an organization toward greater reliability.
  • •Significant experience with PostgreSQL.
  • •Authored and operated Temporal workflows.
  • •Experience with observability platforms like Grafana or Honeycomb, and familiarity with OpenTelemetry.
