Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and lead the global privacy and data protection strategy across markets, products, customers, and operating environments.
  • •Serve as designated Data Protection Officer for Europe and advise leadership on privacy risk, regulatory change, and strategic trade-offs.
  • •Mature privacy program operations, including PIAs/DPIAs, records of processing, data subject rights, vendor privacy reviews, cross-border transfer mechanisms, and governance policies.
  • •Lead privacy incident readiness and response, including investigation support, breach assessment, regulatory notification analysis, remediation, and improvements.
  • •Partner with Product and Engineering to embed privacy-by-design into agile development and release processes, and support commercial enablement (including DPAs/SCCs and privacy positioning).

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, technology law, or regulatory advisory/risk leadership, including significant in-house experience.
  • •Extensive expertise in GDPR, U.S. state privacy laws, and Canadian privacy laws.
  • •Demonstrated ability to serve as a senior privacy leader or Data Protection Officer in a complex, global technology environment.
  • •Experience advising Product, Engineering, Security, Legal, and go-to-market teams on privacy by design, data protection risk, and customer-facing commitments.
  • •Practical experience with PIAs, DPIAs, data mapping, DPAs, SCCs, vendor risk, data subject rights, retention, and privacy incident response.
