Key Responsibilities

•Electrical Engineering Technical Authority (Owner-Side): Establish and own the overall electrical system philosophy for gas-fired power plants; act as the final technical decision-maker for electrical system architecture, equipment selection and configuration, and reliability/redundancy strategies.
•Grid Interconnection & Utility Coordination: Lead grid interconnection strategy with ERCOT and Oncor; oversee power flow, short circuit, dynamic stability studies, voltage control, and compliance with ISO/RTO and utility requirements.
•High-Availability Power System Design: Define architectures to meet 99.9%+ availability; lead design decisions for redundant power paths, data center distribution, and coordination with generation, electrical, and control systems.
•EPC, OEM & Owner’s Engineer Governance: Lead engagement with EPCs, OEMs, and Owner’s Engineers; review and approve deliverables (SLDs, protection/controls, equipment specs, system studies).
•Project Development, Risk & Due Diligence: Provide leadership during Pre-FEED/FEED; identify electrical-system risks affecting interconnection, CAPEX/OPEX, and procurement; support mitigation strategies in negotiations.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 210,000 - 250,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
•15+ years of experience in power plant electrical engineering, EPC, Owner’s Engineering, or project development.
•Proven experience with gas-fired power plants (SCGT, CCGT, or engine-based).
•Demonstrated experience acting as a technical authority or discipline lead.
•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
