Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Own data requests end to end: clarify questions, assess sources, inspect logic, build/change models, validate results, and explain limits.
  • •Build and maintain production dbt models for SaaS billing, subscriptions, customers, recurring revenue, retention, and related metrics.
  • •Create and maintain Metabase dashboards, reusable questions, and recurring reporting, plus ad hoc analyses.
  • •Monitor data quality and freshness, reconcile figures, and trace discrepancies through transformation and ingestion back to the source system.
  • •Maintain source integrations in Airbyte (including custom connectors) and process acquisition due diligence datasets under time pressure.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years in hands-on data roles where SQL was the main tool.
  • •Production experience building and maintaining data models with dbt (or similar code-based workflow) using version control and review.
  • •Experience tracing data from source through ingestion and transformation into a business answer, and distinguishing business change from data issues.
  • •Ability to review code in languages you don’t write daily (e.g., Python) and judge correctness and simpler alternatives.
  • •Hands-on, daily use of AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) with the judgment to validate outputs and protect sensitive data.
