Job Summary

Originate residential first mortgage loans for outside referrals, managing each loan end-to-end from application through closing. Meet sales and cross-selling objectives while maintaining compliance and actively identifying and managing mortgage lending risks. Build referral relationships, collect required documentation, complete Fannie Mae Form 1003 using required systems, manage a loan pipeline, and provide timely updates to branches and applicants.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop referral contacts including realtors, builders, and professional/personal connections.
•Maintain knowledge of mortgage company policies and procedures, loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines.
•Complete applicant applications by completing Fannie Mae Form 1003 on the laptop and access daily rates, credit reports, and Loan Prospector responses.
•Collect required documentation and deliver loan packages within management-defined time frames.
•Manage the mortgage loan pipeline through closing and provide required management reports and timely updates to branches and applicants.

Key Requirements

•Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; a four-year college degree is preferred.
•Must have two years of mortgage sales lending experience.
•Must have an established, local book of business and existing mortgage sales of $1 million per month.
•Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines, plus residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through NMLS (MU4R questions/registration required).
