Job Summary

Join the Finance team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. You’ll prepare annual statutory financial statements for UK companies under IFRS and FRS 101/102, liaise with external auditors, and respond to technical accounting queries with clear accounting memorandums. The role also supports month-end balance sheet preparation, regional reporting with variance analysis, and continuous improvement of accounting procedures and the control environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Liaise with external auditors for multiple entities, preparing deliverables by due deadlines and responding to audit queries accurately.
•Independently prepare annual statutory financial statements for UK companies in line with IFRS and FRS 101/102 and the Companies Act, including audit-ready supporting documentation.
•Handle technical accounting queries from the business or auditors, drafting accounting memorandums with key judgements.
•Support regional reporting to stakeholders and investigate variances to budgets and forecasts.
•Carry out month-end balance sheet preparation and submission, including balance sheet reconciliations, and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and controls.
