Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and deliver capabilities within the Instrument Software stack, including hardware orchestration, instrument performance measurement, telemetry warehousing, and integrations for biological insights.
  • •Collaborate with hardware engineers and integration scientists to develop tools for measuring and validating instrument performance during bring-up and maintaining product quality.
  • •Drive cross-functional platform development decisions using custom analysis of multivariate sensor telemetry and quality control data.
  • •Develop tools to enable rapid diagnosis and resolution of instrument support issues with partners in Operations and Technical Support.
  • •Lead technical design and architecture decisions, hold a high bar for software quality, and help develop engineers through code review and mentorship.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 164,000 - 221,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of professional software engineering experience in a high-performing organization, plus a relevant 4-year degree (or equivalent experience).
  • •Expertise with Python and experience with C++.
  • •Experience building software that reliably interfaces with hardware.
  • •Experience with CI/CD, including automated testing/build pipelines and artifact management from commit to production.
  • •Strong data analysis skills to define metrics and make data-driven technical decisions; excellent cross-functional communication.
