Job Summary

Join WSP USA as a full-time Electrical Engineering Co-op in Philadelphia for Fall 2026/Winter 2027. You will support electrical design tasks on building projects, learn Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, read building plans and diagrams, assist with preliminary design calculations, collaborate with senior engineers, and travel to job sites to survey existing buildings while developing technical and professional skills through the Drexel Co-op program.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist with a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
•Learn principles of Electrical Engineering including power distribution design, lighting design, and low-voltage systems.
•Read and interpret building plans and electrical diagrams and assist with preliminary design calculations and analyses.
•Collaborate with senior engineers to develop drawings and specifications and support project documentation.
•Travel to job sites to survey existing buildings and review construction progress as needed.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 23.9 - 31.11 hourly

Key Requirements

•Actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related Undergraduate program through Drexel University with an anticipated graduation date of March 2027 or later
•Demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering, or related, field and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work and projects
•Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience
•Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to executive projects
•Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools
