Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and execute the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Physical AI Systems Laboratory, including robotics and embodied AI platform development.
  • •Lead architecture, design, development, integration, and deployment of robotic systems (sensing, perception, planning, control, manipulation, autonomy, and human-robot interaction).
  • •Drive adoption of engineering best practices, technical standards, software quality processes, and scalable development methodologies.
  • •Manage and develop a multidisciplinary engineering organization (15–20 engineers), including goals, performance objectives, career plans, recruiting, coaching, and succession.
  • •Oversee multiple concurrent engineering and research programs through concept-to-deployment, including roadmaps, project plans, budgets, risks, milestones, and status reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Masters degree in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field (PhD preferred).
  • •10+ years of progressive experience in robotics, embodied AI, autonomous systems, or related engineering, including concept-to-deployment program leadership.
  • •Demonstrated experience managing and developing engineering teams of approximately 10–15 engineers.
  • •Strong expertise in robotic systems design, integration, deployment, testing, and maintenance, including ROS/ROS2 and robotic control/perception systems.
  • •Experience with C++, Python, AI/ML frameworks, simulation environments/digital twins, and cloud-enabled robotics infrastructure.
