Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform licensed DOT inspections, scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck and trailer equipment across electrical, brake, cooling, steering, engines, transmissions, differentials, and related systems.
  • •Use test instruments and road testing to identify malfunctions and ensure vehicles are operating properly.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders, document work (including photos) in the company system, and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies and federal regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as additional degree/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment (or submit a current DOT medical card with required validity).
  • •At least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license (Class C required) and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
