Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead a trial management team covering a portfolio of clinical trial research protocols (mainly cancer) and other assigned projects.
  • •Oversee end-to-end administration of clinical trials, ensuring research is performed according to applicable regulations and quality standards, procedures, and external agreements.
  • •Provide specialist trial management advice to investigators and contribute to designing and costing new proposals, including drafting protocols and preparing grant applications.
  • •Supervise line management of (Senior) Trial Coordinators and Trial Coordinators; recruit, train, mentor staff, and conduct performance reviews and training plans.
  • •Manage budgets and resources for studies, negotiate and authorize expenditure, monitor progress, coordinate selected trials as needed, and represent the unit at relevant committees and (inter)national meetings.

Salary: GBP 47,389 - 63,606 annually

Key Requirements

  • •A higher degree in a relevant biomedical or associated subject with strong experience in academic clinical trial management, including sponsor-related duties; alternatively a graduate with extensive clinical trial management experience.
  • •An in-depth understanding of clinical trial research, UK regulations and trial management methodology.
  • •Experience coordinating academic clinical trials from design through publication, including writing trial documentation (e.g., protocols and case report forms) and reports; grant writing and trial design contribution desired.
  • •Proven administrative and project management skills to coordinate work, prioritize competing projects, and meet milestones.
  • •Proven ability to supervise, mentor, train, recruit, and manage staff, including budget and office management skills.
