Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage lifecycle and materiel activities including equipment obsolescence, material compatibility issues, alternate part investigations, maintenance management, and disposal management.
  • •Support design and configuration control of vessels, including functional and physical configuration audits plus deviations and waivers documentation.
  • •Provide technical advice to ensure auxiliary and mechanical equipment/systems are correctly operated and maintained.
  • •Monitor system/equipment performance using reports such as UCRs, PIFs, and technical investigations; conduct failure analysis and recommend solutions.
  • •Develop and review technical documentation and engineering change materials, and prepare work packages, documented work scopes, and cost estimates for customer approval.

Key Requirements

  • •3-year technical program diploma (Technologists) or 2-year technical program diploma (Technicians) in a marine mechanical technical field, or provincial/state/federal licensing certification in a relevant field, or CAF marine technical trades certification (RQ-PO1/RQ-PO2, QL 6A/7 Marine Engineer).
  • •Minimum 8 years of demonstrated professional work experience in the naval, marine, or offshore industry within the last 15 years.
  • •Extensive knowledge of marine auxiliary systems including propulsion, steering, Black/Gray Water, HVAC, and refrigeration.
  • •Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with safety standards.
  • •Strong oral and written communication skills; English (Essential).
