Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise clients on bid strategy, manage vendor prequalification, assess proposals and bid leveling documents, and support bid interviews and appointments.
  • •Lead estimating activities by developing and reviewing project estimates, presenting estimates and risk assessments, and validating costs using benchmark data.
  • •Manage cost reporting by establishing reporting schedules, reviewing and presenting cost reports and forecasts, and maintaining a commercial risk register.
  • •Run cost control by reviewing payment application assessments, recommending contractor entitlements, handling change order requests, and supporting dispute prevention/management/resolution.
  • •Oversee invoicing, final accounting, post-contract audits and account close outs, and conduct post-contract reviews to capture lessons learned and improve procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • •Minimum 3-5 years of relevant cost management experience in the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable.
  • •Experience supporting cost management on medium or large sized construction projects.
  • •Strong communication and good knowledge of construction procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
