Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the Lead Firearms Instructor (LFI) during FFDO Requalification Training sessions, handling preparation, completion, and post-session clean-up requirements.
  • •Ensure student safety during dry-fire and live-fire training venues.
  • •Provide one-on-one instruction to students during pre-qualification warm-up and offer remedial training as designated by the LFI.
  • •Communicate law enforcement training concepts clearly to a diverse audience and instruct in accordance with adult education principles and SOPs.
  • •Ensure compliance with established program policies, SOPs, and lesson plans, and secure SSI/SPII appropriately.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of formal instruction experience in firearms, defensive tactics/measures, and use of force
  • •Current or former certified law enforcement official or civilian with certified firearms training

  • •Must complete security/background checks prior to starting
