Job Summary

As a Production Worker II (1st Shift) at the Jacksonville, FL Busch Drive site, you’ll work with composite technicians under a working lead and production supervisor to assemble naval products. Follow documented procedures to cast and fabricate polyurethane and like materials, operate presses/ovens/autoclaves, and verify parts for defect-free results before quality control. You’ll also perform tool/material setup, cross-train across manufacturing operations, and support schedule needs including overtime.

Key Responsibilities

•Assemble parts, subassemblies, and larger components by following clearly described procedures and instructions.
•Perform casting and fabrication of polyurethane and like materials, including pre-fitting for bonding.
•Operate presses, ovens, and autoclaves, adhering to equipment requirements and sequences of operation.
•Verify work to ensure defect-free parts prior to quality control (inspection).
•Use production tools and support cross-training within the department, including overtime when required to meet project schedules.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent such as GED) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
•Must have or be willing and able to obtain certification to operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, etc.).
•2+ years experience in a manufacturing, industrial environment or assembly labor position is preferred.
•2+ years experience in composite or rubber manufacturing is highly preferred.
•Prior aerospace/marine industry experience is preferred.
