Job Summary

Lay and/or dig up pipe in the ground with utility crews, helping install utility/conduit as well as water and sewer lines. Operate equipment safely within designed parameters, locate buried utilities before digging, prepare trenches, guide and connect pipes, and set up laser levels and pipe lasers. Maintain jobsite safety with barricades and cones, complete clean-up, perform minor maintenance, and keep time/material records while traveling as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Lay and/or dig up pipe in the ground with utility crews
•Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging
•Shovel earth/dirt to prepare ground trenches for pipes and may dig up existing pipes with manual tools
•Guide and connect pipes into place; attach trench box and use chains/guide wires as needed
•Operate equipment safely, set up laser level/pipe lasers, maintain site safety, perform minor maintenance, and keep time/material records

Key Requirements

•Valid Drivers License

•Must have current authorization to work in the United States
