Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver specific and moderate portions of broader engineering assignments under guidance of senior technical leaders.
  • •Gather, correlate, and validate engineering data using established procedures, ensuring traceability and quality.
  • •Complete detailed engineering calculations and routine tests to support design development, proposing approaches to new problems via adapted methods.
  • •Independently complete primary design elements for maritime and structural works (e.g., wharves, jetties, dolphins, seawalls, berths).
  • •Coordinate interdisciplinary reviews and develop PS&E deliverables, including technical specifications, construction cost estimates, and quality control for design outputs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Experience in structural and/or maritime engineering.
  • •Proficiency designing marine structures and foundations, with familiarity in relevant Australian standards and guidelines.
  • •Competence with structural analysis and design tools, and preparing calculations, drawings and specifications.
  • •Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams; Chartered (CPEng) or progressing toward chartered status is advantageous.
