Key Responsibilities

  • •Design enterprise Azure landing zones from scratch, aligned to the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework, including hierarchy, subscription/environment strategy, networking, identity, security, governance, and operations.
  • •Author and maintain Terraform for provisioning Azure services, including reusable modules, root configurations, remote state/provider configuration, and production-standard automation.
  • •Lead a team of two to four engineers through landing zone build workstreams, allocating work, reviewing code/designs, and ensuring technical quality.
  • •Drive workload migration to Azure end to end, including discovery/assessment, wave planning, migration design (rehost/replatform/refactor), execution, cutover/rollback, and post-migration optimization.
  • •Define platform governance and security/operations baselines (Azure Policy, management group structure, naming/tagging, cost management, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault/secrets, backup/DR, monitoring/alerting).

Key Requirements

  • •10–12 years of experience in cloud infrastructure/platform engineering, with substantial recent focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • •Proven ability to design and build enterprise Azure landing zones end to end (platform design, not just consuming an existing setup).
  • •Deep hands-on expertise with Terraform, including reusable module design, state management at scale, and running Terraform in automated pipelines.
  • •Strong breadth across Azure compute, networking, storage, databases, backup, and monitoring/platform services that support migrated workloads.
  • •Solid Azure networking, identity/security, and governance depth (Entra ID/RBAC, Key Vault, Azure Policy/Defender for Cloud) plus experience leading workload migrations to Azure at enterprise scale.
