Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist Project Managers with financial and performance planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • •Initiate, monitor, and maintain project setup in Deltek Costpoint, including WBS, funding, billing formulas, ceilings, labor categories, billing rates, and workforce.
  • •Process cash application: investigate discrepancies, reconcile payment issues, monitor AR balances, and collaborate to ensure accurate billing.
  • •Develop and manage budgets and project cost/schedule baselines; monitor actuals, commitments, EACs, burn rate, and conduct variance analysis.
  • •Manage project A/R and A/P activities: process subcontract/vendor payments, generate weekly/biweekly invoices with backup, perform unbilled analysis and monthly accrual calculations, and support contract closeouts.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of project accounting support for services contracts for government customers.
  • •Proficiency with MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting, data validation).
  • •Experience with Costpoint (billing, project setup, reports, procurement) and Cognos reports.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to deliver well-organized, accurate work.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business-related field preferred.
