Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the hardware and firmware roadmap for Equipment Monitoring in-field devices, including asset gateways, beacons, environmental/door sensors, power accessories, and new device form factors.
  • •Drive new product introductions end-to-end from problem definition and sourcing through EVT/DVT/PVT, certifications (FCC, PTCRB, carrier approvals, IP ratings, industrial environmental specs), MP ramp, and post-launch stabilization.
  • •Own the installed base by improving field failure and RMA rates, battery life, connectivity/positioning performance, and install success using field metrics.
  • •Define and prioritize firmware features for deployed device value, including power optimization, connectivity resilience, positioning accuracy, sensor fusion, OTA reliability and staged rollout, diagnostics, security, and fleet-level observability.
  • •Lead the product side of device partnerships and translate discovery signals into crisp product requirements via cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Support, Install, and Customer Success.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of product management experience shipping IoT, telematics, tracking, or connected hardware from concept through mass production, and iterating post-launch.
  • •Proven ownership of at least one full hardware NPI reaching material volume (ideally 100K+ units) through EVT/DVT/PVT/MP gates, regulatory certifications, and supplier relationships.
  • •Strong technical fluency in battery-powered connected systems, including MCU/SoC, power management, battery life budgeting, RF/antenna design, GNSS, cellular (LTE-M, NB-IoT, 4G, 5G), BLE, and environmental ratings.
  • •Direct ownership of firmware roadmaps, including OTA update strategy and staged rollouts, release trains, provisioning/security, telemetry design, and device observability.
  • •Demonstrated field reliability ownership: diagnosing deployed device failures, making changes, and improving metrics; plus ability to lead ambiguous cross-functional initiatives.
